I miss the frenetic and festive years when my children and I transformed our house into a magnificent Bizarre Bazaar, delighting shoppers with wine, treats, and a cornucopia of my creative friends selling their wares. Crafts, jewelry, candles, woolen goods, beanies, pies, and stacks of my notecards, those nights stand out as part of our Christmas history! Each year became a bigger, bountiful, and more wondrous night with happy shoppers beaming with arms filled with bags of one-of-a-kind goods to give as gifts! The weeks before Christmas are much more subdued around here, and I miss those raucous nights! My sweet mom set up her own shop one year: a table with some of her cherished antique serving pieces. By the end of the night, and after a few martinis, she gave away the last bits and bobs to some of our glad-tiding customers.
