Be it an idea, a scheme, a new design, collaboration, commission, dinner menu, or change in life direction, drafting is what I do. Being alive calls for constant revision and fluidity (to quote my wise son) so I trust that I’m armed and open to adventure, new vistas, new clients, and always an enticement to learn and create more.
At my sturdy vintage drafting table, rainbow colours of pens, markers, and paints all within reach, straight edges if the course requires it, and stacks of paper ready to draw life the metaphor is constant. I’m ready. What’s next? I’ll know when I get there.
