I’ve always been fascinated by maps. Blame my brave wonderful wanderlust mother for inspiring the insatiable curiosity of constant adventure in me throughout my entire life.
From the end papers of J.R.R. Tolkein’s The Hobbit to the creased, the worn family atlas that has traveled coast to coast with me and my children in our car, the floor plans of London townhouses or English Country Manors which added to the suspenseful plots of Agatha Christie novels, and to the enormous old schoolroom pull-down vintage map of the 50 states hanging in our living room, there’s no end to the lure of travel when I’m studying the typography, colors, textures, patterns, keys and labels of a good map.
Inspired by some really cool commissions, I’ve decided to promote my Plot A Party venue + destination events + wedding + travel magazine custom illustrated maps to my clients.
Need one? Got something cooking up that needs a personalized map? If so, I’d love to hear from you. Remember: have pen, will travel.
